In 1973 Winn Inc. started out as a tennis ball manufacturer. Winn diversified its product line n 1976, constructing a factory to manufacture tennis racket string as well as balls. Winn is currently rated in the world's top three tennis string manufacturers.
With a technical background gained working for NASA during the 1960s, Dr. Ben Huang, created a synthetic polymer grip for tennis rackets which was released in 1980. Huang's innovation entirely changed the tennis grip industry. For over 20 years, Winn has continued as the leading supplier of synthetic grips in tennis.
Building on success in tennis, Winn developed and patented the Elastom ETM material which was unveiled to the golf grip industry in 1996. Relishing similar success in the golf market as it did in tennis, Winn have quickly become a force to be reckoned with in world of golf grips.
